I forget to look UP sometimes. Today when I did that I was reminded at the register that "we" were in the Express Checkout Line: Must Have 15 items or Fewer. The lady in front of me remarked about the 15 items and it got me to thinking...
Does that ever get enforced? I've never seen it.
<guard enters the line>
<arm bar ensues between "guard" and customer>
Customer (Frank): Whoa, What's going on here? I mean, that arm bar seems a bit harsh!
Guard: <loosens grip> Well, sir, we ARE going to have to ask you to kindly step over here, sirrrr.
Frank: Kindly?
<slam>
Guard: We're going to have to keep you in this temporary holding "room" for about two hours.
Frank: Umm, well, that's a little strange. I mean, I have to take my kid to soccer practice. Isn't there like less of a penalty for first-time offenders? I mean, I've seen drunk drivers get treated better than this?
<Thinking...>
Umm, I need insulin?
<2 minutes later>
Frank: Ensure?! You're giving ME ENSURE!
Guard: And a bologna sandwich, sir. And a bologna sandwich.
Frank: Alright then..
Next time I'm just gonna split my groceries into two purchases
